Hi friends! This is a weird time to pause but you Hi friends! This is a weird time to pause but you gotta pause when you gotta pause right? I’m super exhausted and trying to stave off a bit of burn-out so I’m pausing dailies for a bit, I’ll come back and finish the harvest market soon and I’ve got a really boss illustration planned for Halloween so I won’t be pausing for long. Just need to catch up on some health practices and get some down time yeah know? Also maybe draw a couple of things in a different perspective grid. Who knows. Dailies are tough, if you’re currently slogging through art challenge October remember to be kind to yourself. I love challenges but they require a good handle on self care. Anyway, if we don’t talk, have a very happy Thanksgiving if you’re celebrating and a very good weekend if you’re not.

Happy new week! We're going back to the market! Ba Happy new week! We're going back to the market! Back? Have I been there? Can't remember. Anyway it's Thanksgiving this weekend in Canada and you know what that means? Food. Thanks too I guess and a good time to bring up some uncomfortable truths about the colonization of North America that we like to ignore for great swaths of the year but here in Canada we have it in October, presumedly to coincide with our harvest time so, food as well. This week we're going to prep a meal at a good ol' fall market. The weather is pretty temperate here so our markets typically run through October or at least to mid October which means apples, pies, brussel sprouts. All that good stuff can be gotten direct from farmers and producers. So here's the thing about soccer fields. They are So here's the thing about soccer fields. They are large. They are spread out. And they are rife with opportunities to make bad layout decisions so here we are. It was all downhill when I a) chose a starting set-up and b) drew both centre field and the goal. Haha.
